Stroud National recently celebrated 65 years of helping agents serve the insurance needs of American agriculture. As we often say with pride, our journey began with Steve L. Stroud’s founding of the company in Weatherford, Oklahoma, on April 1, 1961, and continues today from our long-time home in Ruidoso, New Mexico, under the leadership of President & CEO Steve B. Stroud.
Over the past six and a half decades, Stroud National has grown into a family-owned managing general agency and wholesale insurance broker that independent agents across 18 states place specialized farm and ranch, irrigation, and commercial agribusiness coverage for their rural clients.
We’re grateful to see our anniversary story picked up in the media so others can learn about the mission that began in 1961 and continues strong today.
